Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

IQAC Vision

To foster a sustainable culture of quality, innovation and continuous improvement that enhances academic excellence, student success and institutional effectiveness.

IQAC Mission

To establish systematic quality processes, strengthen evidence-based academic and administrative practices, promote stakeholder participation, and support Jeppiaar University in achieving excellence in teaching, learning, research, innovation and institutional development.

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Jeppiaar University is a dedicated institutional mechanism established to promote a culture of continuous quality enhancement, academic excellence, accountability and innovation across all Schools, Departments and academic programmes. IQAC works as a coordinating and monitoring platform to ensure that quality initiatives are systematically planned, implemented, documented, reviewed and improved.

IQAC facilitates the integration of quality practices in Teaching–Learning, Curriculum Development, Outcome-Based Education, Research and Innovation, Student Support, Infrastructure, Examination and Assessment, Faculty Development, Industry Interaction, Extension Activities, Governance and Institutional Best Practices.

The Cell coordinates the collection, validation and systematic maintenance of institutional data and supporting evidence required for NAAC, NBA, UGC and other applicable accreditation, ranking and regulatory requirements. Particular emphasis is placed on maintaining evidence in a structured manner based on academic year, semester, School, Department, Programme, criterion/attribute and responsible coordinator.

IQAC Mission

  • Develop and promote institutional quality policies and practices.
  • Monitor academic and administrative quality indicators.
  • Facilitate Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate NAAC, NBA and other accreditation readiness activities.
  • Facilitate preparation and maintenance of AQAR, SSR, SAR and institutional quality reports.
  • Monitor student feedback, progression, placement and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Promote research, innovation, consultancy, IPR and industry collaboration.
  • Organize academic, professional-development and quality-enhancement programmes.
  • Maintain systematic documentation and evidence repositories.
  • Conduct academic/administrative audits and facilitate corrective actions.
  • Identify institutional strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and areas requiring improvement.
  • Promote best practices and encourage their adoption across the University.

IQAC Quality Cycle

PLAN → IMPLEMENT → DOCUMENT → MONITOR → REVIEW → ANALYSE → IMPROVE → REASSESS

Through this continuous quality cycle, IQAC aims to transform institutional data and feedback into measurable improvement and evidence-based decision-making.

The IQAC of Jeppiaar University therefore serves not merely as an accreditation-support unit, but as an institution-wide quality management and continuous improvement mechanism, connecting every School, Department, Programme and functional unit towards the University’s overall pursuit of excellence.
