Jeppiaar University, the name is an indelible tribute to the great leadership and illustrious educational vision of our founder Late Hon. Col. Dr. Jeppiaar. Dr. Jeppiaar was a political leader, educationist and industrialist all rolled into one. He held various responsible positions in the Government of Tamilnadu during the M.G.R regime and earned accolades for his illustrious work. Even then, education and inspiring young minds were his prime and predominant pursuits. He was the pioneer of private engineering education in Tamilnadu. He also founded many top-notch educational establishments under Jeppiaar Educational Trust which include Satyabhama University and Panimalar educational institutions. Dr. Jeppiaar was a true doyen of innovative future-oriented education in Tamilnadu. Today, we owe the stature and accomplishments of Jeppiaar educational institutions wholly to our ever-benevolent founder and carry the torch he lit to lead the way in all our future endeavours.
